Roberts family on the radio
Walt and Janet Roberts and their children during a radio interview in 1945 on the observational work taking place at Climax. Prior to 1945, the work at Climax was classified because it related to the war effort. After the end of World War II they were able to give interviews like the one pictured, and Life magazine also featured them in an issue about the coronagraph. Janet married Walt in 1940 and traveled with him to Climax. Three of the Roberts' four children were born while they resided at the observatory.
